Summary, Accountability & Objectives Responsible for the day to day management of the logistics function, ensuring cost effectiveness and timely management of transport, using approved vendors for import and export.
Key Responsibilities  Manages the transport planning based on customers’ orders  Facilitates the shipping of products from one destination to another, ensuring smooth communication with other departments and transport companies (by road, sea and air freight)  Arranges transportation and orchestrates deliveries to meet customer demand without delay  Makes transport cost calculations  Prepares shipping instructions  Prepares transport documents (CMR, B / L, AWB, ...) and hazardous goods documents (ADR, DGD, MSDS ...)  Issues the invoices and all other documents to be delivered at shipment  Receives products and coordinates delivery  Continually reviews freight costs and transportation rates to keep costs under control  Streamlines shipping and transportation processes  Ensures customs and excise administration:

  • Prepares export documents (EX-A, EU-A, ...), excise documents (e-AD, VGD, ...) and AC 4 declaration
  • Performs the stock administration of the Excise warehouse
  • Follow-up of the clearance of customs and excise documents
  • Keeps regular communication with the Administration (AAD & A)
  • Maintains current customs permits, guarantees, ...


Skills & Qualifications  You have at least a bachelor's degree within commercial and/or logistics area  You have minimum 5 year’s relevant experience in Logistics  You are knowledgeable in INCO terms, Letter of Credit, Declarations of Origin, Customs and Excise  You express yourself fluently in Dutch and English  You can communicate at different levels, both outside and within the organization  You can easily handle Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and you preferably have experience with an ERP package
